Soulshine Retreat Centre in Bali, Indonesia (owned by musician Michael Franti), has created an elegant, peaceful, and supportive home base for our invigorating week of healing breath sessions, easeful yoga practice, and guided meditations.

Immerse yourself into this rich Balinese culture while learning about holistic self care techniques, the benefits of breathing well, nourishing-up with delicious and organic meals, and enjoying the company of the perfect circle of friends.

Your shuttle driver will personally greet you at Denpasar International Airport (Bali), and escort you 25km past temples, the Indian Ocean, and bustling scooter-filled streets and markets. You will arrive at Soulshine, which sits on the outskirts of Ubud town, an artistic community with vibrant and infectious energy.



This week is an opportunity to come into alignment with that steady, consistent, inner version of yourself.  All daily details are truly taken care of so that you can focus on being yourself, breathing well, healing, re-charging, and dreaming about where you want to take things next in your life.

With open arms, I invite you to this sweet, sacred and soul-quenching retreat week in a gorgeous part of the world!  Bali is a must-see, must-experience kind of place.  The energy here is beautiful, calming and positively infectious. 

Breath work, meditation, and traditional yoga are powerful medicines that I am honoured to share with each of you.  Whether you are currently navigating a certain life situation, trying to figure out your direction, or simply want to experience and learn more about living with love, health, and tranquility, this retreat is intricately designed for you.

I like to laugh, connect in meaningful ways and dive deep into our daily rituals and practices.  I teach alignment-based, heart-opening yoga classes and guide you through intentional Yoga Nidra morning meditations.  I am a passionate breath work healer and will share it's incredible benefits with each of you throughout the week. This retreat is for all levels to follow and is sweetly infused with complete self-care, deep nourishment, and deliberate transformational opportunities.  I welcome you into our space and circle with nothing but warmth and ease.

Jenna is a phenomenal yoga instructor. She teaches full body wellness and has a calm and open demeanour. I followed her to Bali for a holistic detox yoga retreat and it was the best decision I’ve made. She uses incense, pure essential oils, yoga cymbals, touch, and a focus on breath to make the experience all encompassing of your senses. She comes prepared with a variety of ideas and offers variations to poses for differing abilities or comfort levels. I highly recommend Jenna as a yoga instructor and a lifestyle coach. She teaches mostly around British Columbia, and also holds retreats in Costa Rica and Bali. She is a registered massage therapist and has an in depth knowledge of the body which helps guide her teachings. I very highly recommend Jenna Olsthoorn!!

Conscious Breathwork

These sessions are the highlight of our retreat week together.  You will begin to learn about your unique breath, your posture and any holding patterns that you've collected throughout your life.  This work stands alone as an unexpected access point to altered planes of consciousness, emotional releases, meaningful insights, and a more clear perspective on this moment.

Our amazing and balanced suggested itinerary is available for you at your fingertips.  Outside of our set breakfast and dinner times, If you'd rather sleep-in one morning or take off for a day at the beach, you are absolutely welcome to fine-tune this schedule to make it exactly as you need.


6-7am   Yoga Nidra Morning Meditation (practiced laying on your back in comfort)

7:00-7:30am   Coffee/Tea, Fruit and Fresh Juice  

7:45-9am   Yoga Practice with Jenna

9-10:30am   More coffee + Soulshine breakfast

11:30-1pm  Conscious Breathwork Session 1

1pm on...  Lunch as you like it (choose a dish from the restaurant menu or head into Ubud)

Afternoons are for lounging by the pool, exploring Ubud, napping, add-on excursions, or simply relaxing.

430-530pm - Holistic Self Care Workshop/Yoga

6-7:30pm   Soulshine family dinner

8-9pm -Law of attraction/Appreciation journaling

Luxury Resort Rooms

these luxury terrace villa rooms are located in the main resort building, steps away from the pool, roof-top yoga studio, and restaurant

Firefly - Chill out in this cool blue room located on the second floor.  Includes your own private terrace overlooking rice fields and gardens. This room includes a king bed and ensuite bathroom + air-con.  (for pictures, click HERE)

Sunset - Wake up to views of the rice terraces and jungle canopy in your beautiful hand carved king size bed, or while you relax under your rainfall shower head in your in your ensuite bathroom. Located on the second floor with air-con, your private terrace is the ideal place to watch the sunset.  (for pictures, click HERE)

Garden - Relax in a gorgeous indoor/outdoor setting with a private terrace opening onto our lush gardens. Located on the ground floor, this room boasts air-con, a king bed and has a beautiful outdoor shower/bathroom.  (for pictures, click HERE)

Koi - Overlooking the main koi and lotus pond, this cozy room has air-con, a king bed and rests on the ground floor. Soak in your own tub, or shower while looking up at the coconut trees in your outdoor shower.  (for pictures, click HERE)

Sound of Sunshine - The ultimate room for the ultimate music fan. The room where Michael Franti wrote and recorded his hit song, Sound of Sunshine. This room has magnificent views of the jungle and gardens with floor to ceiling windows. Lotus Rooms

Our Lotus rooms are located next to the main resort building.  All rooms have tropical garden views and are surrounded by our peaceful lotus pond. Choose from one king bed or two twin beds. Each room has air-con and its own designated private bath located across the hall, along with open air sinks.
